Ooogle a bit of Google

Hi guys, thought I would write a little how too with Google. They offer so much for so little but it seems not a lot of people use their service to their fullest.

The reason why Im writing this is I got a call the other day form a company asking me if I would like to sign up to their service for advertising on Google. How much I ask? £199 a month! Oh! Check it http://www.lavoraweb.com/

What is Google Adwords? Type something into google, on the right and at the top you will find "sponsored links" - these are products that people are trying to sell you. These guys use Google Adwords.

I want that too! Okay, calm down, sign into Google and go to the regular search page. You will see something at the top right hand corner called "my account" click it and you will see a list of products. Select Google Adwords. There you go, you first have to start a new ad campaign, this involves finding relevant "key words", These are terms your average Joe will type into the Google search bar. For instance, UK bands type - upcoming, new bands UK, new band London.... The more search terms you type in the better. A good research tool for this is Google Insights http://www.google.com/insights/search/

Now budget. You need to set how much you would like to spend per month. When filling this out be honest its recommended that you choose £15 per month. Which really isn't that much if you have a site which you can sell your music or merchandise form (i.e. here)
